Baeren 2021: Dunkel Filtered 5% Nice reddish brown with a wispy beige head and sweet malty caramel with some tobacco leaf. The tasty on this medium bodied brew is bitter and earthy hops, caramel, biscuit and hard toffee.

Medium brown color. Light brown head. The nose shows fantastic chocolate malt, a touch of caramel and coffee with noble hops. Beautiful nose. Slightly tart, very dry, medium bitterness, medium roastiness, nice coffee character, but depth isnt quit what I was hoping for, though the palate is fantastic. Smooth and easy drinking. This is a solid take on the style.

Bottle, mail order from the brewery. Rich malt nose, caramel, chocolate, light fruit, banana, esters. Deep brown with orange tints and a medium, thick head. Rich and malty, dark cocoa, touch roasty, savory. Medium body, silky smooth. Not quite a stunner, but a lovely, flavorful drinker.
