Consumed at home Sunday 26th February 2023 listening to older music on throwback Sunday. Pete and the Pirates - One Thousand Pictures Royal Blood - Royal Blood Erland and the Carnival - Erland and the Carnival Cooking a Belgian Beef Carbonnade and also Chicken and Chorizo Lasagne and Chorizo, Red Onion and Feta Spring Rolls (made them up). Pours mid amber with a big off white head. Soft mouthfeel, an initial sweet and slightly spicy edge, a hint of ginger, good maltiness, also worth noting that the abv works well here, it really doesn't taste 7%. Nice.

Really nice! Didn't get much ginger though. Very comfy place but I miss the smell of brewing malts that Sudden Death had. I should come again on their next Brautag.

330ml bottle. Slightly milky, orange, dark golden to amber colour with average, frothy, moderately lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Cautious, spicy malty aroma, spicy aroma in general, hints of ginger, a touch of cinnamon, whiffs of aniseed. Taste is spicy and sweet-ish malty, notes of ginger, a touch of aniseed, allspice, light citrusy hoppy overtones; quite ginger dominated overall, no soapy aspects at all. Slightly oily, watery texture, smooth and soft palate, fine, soft carbonation. Mild spiciness, full bodied maltiness; despite the adjuncts rather simple and homogeneous if not monotonous - OK.

33cl bottle. A clear amber beer with a small off-white head. Aroma of cinnamon, caramel, some anis. Taste of caramelized malt, anis, cinnamon, moderate bitterness.

Bottle. Orange amber with chill haze, golden foam. Honeyish malty, light juicy. Chewy grains, medium full dry body. Warming sweetness with a good grassy backstop. The spices harmonize from the background.

Süffiger, zu süßer Antrunk. Gewürzig, milde Herbe, Zimt. Moderat würzig, eher unrund, mittellanger Abgang. Naja... 9/7/9/7/9/7
