Bottle 375ml. corked. [ As Lost Abbey Saison Blanc ].Clear medium orange yellow color with a large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, white to off-white head. Aroma is light moderate malty, wheat, moderate to heavy yeasty, spicy, saison yeast, light citrus - grapes, peppery notes, funky notes. Flavour is moderate sweet and liht acidic with a long duration, dry, saison yeast, fruity, funky, peppery - spicy, yeasty. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20140726]

Crisp, very hazy and super blonde coloured body with a rich, three centimetre tall pure white head. Aroma of pears, apples, white grapes, light hops and a hint of flowers - a lot of character, but all mild. Light-bodied; Sharp pungent brett and floral notes hit first then show some subdued yeast and grassy flavours, coupled with a very light and not very sweet white grape flavour. Aftertaste hits more from the brett and yeast than anything else with not much body and that dry herbal flavour coming at the end. Overall, a decent saison, but a nicer easy-drinking ale for the summertime with some good super mild complexity. That said, if this didn’t sport the label on the front it would have a much lower score. A decent beer for sure, but not a great saison nor a beer worth searching out for. I’m happy I didn’t spend much on this, otherwise I’d be even more harsh on this one. I sampled this split 37,5 cL corked and caged bottle, purchased from Liqour Outlet in Boonton, New Jersey on 30-November-2013 for US$5,03 sampled at home in Washington on 08-August-2014.

375ml bottle thanks to Toby. Pours out a cloudy light straw topped with a small white head. Nose is spice yeasts grass and some pepper. Taste is as the nose with lots of spice notes and a nice touch of belg yeast.

Hay with some citrus and light barnyard aromas. Pours hazy blonde with good head and lacing. Finishes with some crackery bitterness. Soft carbonation. Good stuff. Bottle.

Bottle @ Fermentoren, Aarhus. Clear golde with an off-white head. Aroma is sweet, malty, yeasty, dried fruit and a little pepper. Flavor is quite sweet and moderate bitter. Sweet and moderate bitter finish. 140514

Bottle, Vintage 2013. Clear golden with small off-white head. Aroma is malt, brett, fruit, little pepper, hop and raisins. Flavour is malt, brett, little dry, little sweet, spices, bitter and little pepper.

Bottle. Small head with short duration. Color is golden. Aroma and taste are dry, straw, farmyard, hops, malt, light pepper and leather.
