Bottle. Pours cloudy golden. Aroma is vinous, grapes, pepper, raisin. Body is medium, grapes, raisin, quite bitter, low carbonation, smooth, almost boozy. Sweet lingering grape palate. Good!

375mL bottle, early 2014, drunk 9/4/15.
Good clarity throughout the bronze-golden liquid. A touch of deeper amber peeks through. White head is initially large and foamy but rather steadily recedes to cover.
A lot more raisin in the nose than I would expect from a 17 month old bottle. Brett is rather funky, though, but fairly subtle, while saison yeast contributes a healthy amount of Belgian esters and light cellar/mustiness. Malt shows light caramel and is tempered by the peppery phenols (or maybe actual white pepper). No alcohol or flaws.
Tons of raisin in the flavor. Very odd, with just a tart, almost leathery brett presence further backed by peppery phenols and various earthy/musty notes. It’s almost got a sweet/sour thing going on between the malt and yeast character, while the texture is slick and watery with appropriate, ample carbonation (though somewhat relaxed with age). I think it’s a bit oxidized, though the flavor is a bit blurred between oxidation and what may just be odd raisiny flavors. Interesting and drinkable, but I’m not in love with the raisin flavor. The sweet, rich, rather dullish flavor works greatly against the bright/crisp/dry elements.

18 Month bottle thanks Brian for sharing this 375ML bundle of joy. Love Saison rates!!! Hazy golden orange 3 finger solid white dense head. Lots of bread dough aroma, peppercorn, celery, bread. Faded malt, a little bit sweet, some copper taste at the finish with peaches. certainly has some age on it. still distinctively a saison

Bottle thanks to Brian. Bottle is at least a year and a half old. Slightly hazy color with still good carbonation level, aroma is straw, light barnyard, pale grain, yes indeed there is golden raisins. Interesting. Flavor also reflects the golden raisins with weak Belgian yeast through the center.

. The mouthfeel is heavy with sweetness. The malt has for sure taken over with yeast nearly dead at this point. But with that said; it has held up really well. The raisins make this different.
