Cask at Mad Squirrel, Amersham, Bucks. An amber/red coloured pour with a medium bubbly off white head on top. Fruity, malty, orange, caramel aroma and taste. It's decent enough.

21/12/2023. Cask at The Ale House Chelmsford Christmas Beer Festival. Pours clear amber copper with a small bubbly off-white head. Aroma is fruity, malt, caramel, passion fruit, yeast, hint of spice and nut. Medium sweetness, bitterness and body. Quite smooth, soft carbonation. Drying fruity finish. Quite like this.

From cask at Shirker’s Rest, New Cross, London, 20.12.22. Pale mahogany ruby. Beige head and lacing. Fine aroma and taste of pale malt, amber malt, succade, marmalade, syrup, oak and honey. Quite dry.

Cask at mad Squirrel watford. A light hazed reddish amber coloured pour with a loose beige head. Aroma is nutty character malts, toffee, grass, hedgerow hop, grass, raisin. Flavour is composed of semi sweet, nutty toffee malts, sweet dried fruits, apple and raisin, trail mix. Palate is semi sweet. Melow cask condition, decent. Easy going for a Christmas themed one.

[Cask at the Alehouse, Reading.] A reddish amber pour with a loose white head; fresh herbal hop aroma; dry and smooth in the mouth with biscuity malts, some red fruit and some leafy hops; then a mellow nutty finish. A good winter bitter.

Cask at MS HW, 03/02/21. Clear deep amber with a good sized light beige head. Nose is dried fruit esters, caramel, biscuit, faintest of pine waftings, toffee apple. Taste comprises fruit slice, toffee, cheesecake base, dried fruit rinds. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, light drying close with a gentle bitter edge. Pleasant enough for the style.

Tap at Mad Squirrel, High Wycombe. Poured a slightly hazy medium amber colour with a lasting frothy white head. The aroma is malt, dank hops. The flavour is moderate bitter, with a smooth, slightly light, malt, herbal, light hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.
