4.3-4.8% abv. Malted barley, oats. The equivalent to Table Beer in our range of stouts and porters. Not brewed to 'dry stout'-style, per se, but a stout that is dry. Light-bodied but not thin, with more prominent kettle-hopping and then dry-hopping to add some brightness and contrast to the roasty, biscuity, and savoury character of the dark malts.

Bottle fromlowcostbeer.com. Black pour with small beige head. Quite an earthy-herbal hop aroma with roast malt and chocolate. Taste has a dry roast with a sweetness to balance, some chocolate, herbal hops, a touch of blackcurrant. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, drying. Good.

Large light brown tight foamed head on a near black body. Tobacco, ashtray & burnt aroma. Medium bodied, tingly with a smooth back & cloying aft. Burnt, coffee, chocolate & bitter berry tastes with a hoppy tangy finish. Excellent as always from The Kernel.

Bottle at home in Hackney - picked up from Arch 7. Pours deep brown with a dense, creamy tan head. Gorgeous from start to finish. Lightly sweet, nicely roasted malts, some mellow ashy bitterness, dark chocolate, a hint of burnt pine, earth, black coffee, orange peel. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Balanced finish, more torched pine, well roasted malts. Wildly drinkable.
