BBP's first Lambic blend, brewed at Dansaert. We teamed up with David from Verger du Nord. His spontaneously fermented cider contained all heirloom varieties, 70% pears & 30% apples. Blended 50/50 with our one year old lambic (fermented in Bordeaux barrels) & aged together in a chestnut foeder for 6 months before bottling.

Straw yellow, hazy, no head. Aroma's: sour, funky. Retronasal: sour, funky, light apple. Flavour is sour with a hint of apple sweetness. Light bodied. Dryish finish.

On tap at Brussels Beer Project - Brussels, pours a hazy pale golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out musty apple skins and soft leathery barnyard funk. Flavour is acidic and harsh, with lots of apple skins, leather, and cardboardy earthy notes. Bad blend, harshly acidic, with few redeeming qualities. Just poor.

Draught@TCBW2022. Hazy yellow colour, minor head. Aroma is pear, some apples, mild wooden tartness with some herbs. Flavour is tart wood, some mild vinegar with earth and mild grainy tones.

Bottle pour at Lya. Thx Ondra! Murky yellow, not much head. Pear, fruity notes, l sweetness, some barrel, honey, interesting! Lean, woody taste, vinegar, pear and apple, funky notes, ending dry. Fun experiment!

75clbottle (bottled June2022) from the brewery shop. F: no. C: pale gold, hazy. A: light sour fruity, green apples, gooseberries, cider touch, brett. T: nice sour fruity, apples, pears, gooseberries, brett, funky, bready touch, interesting connection here, soft if any carbonation, good one and my first for this style, enjoyed for sure.

Clear golden colour with thin head. Bith the cider and lambic elements are noticeable. Quite a soft taste. A bit musty. Misses some brightness and acidity.

Little cloudy orange blond beer, no head. Aroma: lots and lots of fresh apples up front, green apples, apple juice. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: nice, fruity, lots of green apples, some lemon, very acidic, nice clean acidity. Aftertaste: lots and lots of apples, fruity, juicy, good stuff! Really like this one!

Really apple nose up front, lambic underneath, with a nice dry pear finish and some woodsiness. Lightly tart. Might age a bit more, relatively straightforward so far.
