Brewed in collaboration with our friends at Cult of Oak, Saint Monday is a rich and decadent scotch ale brewed with masses of maple syrup. Rich caramel and toffee notes dominate, backed up with gentle spice notes from rye, and a slight background hint of smoke from a tiny amount of smoked malts.

Can shared at work by me. Amberish copper pour with an off-white head. Nose and taste are sweet(ish) bready and toasty malts, toffee, caramel, maple and a slighf smoky hint. Medium to full body, soft carbonation. Tasty, if a bit one dimensional.

Can ordered from Brew Cavern, Nottingham. Aroma is very sweet.- maple and dark fruit - with malts and a boozy edge. Dark - opaque cola. Head retreats other than a few XS microbubbles. Shower sweet again in terms of flavour - the maple cones through and it hasn't deteriorated like other maple based beers I've had. This overshadows what I'd consider the more trad Britain Strong Ale facets - that malty dark dried fruit and nuts. Medium bodied. Oily. Average-fizzy carbonation. Longgggg finish. After the hoppy stuff I've had so far tonight this could have been way too sweet but it's 0.0001% below the Gagging Limit.
