It’s thanks to Raphaël’s friendship with Nicolas Pittet and Pierre-Alain Dutoit, winemakers from Lavaux/Vaud, that the L’Amoureuse beers were born. They’re real hybrids – born of a combination of dry Saison and the freshly-squeezed juice of local grapes, blended and fermented together. The result is a relatively dry beer with a light, fruity, vinous nose. Unfiltered, unpasteurized, and refermented in the bottle, the L’Amoureuse will continue to evolve and grow more acidy over time thanks to the wild yeasts that occur naturally on the grape skins

Hazy blond color with straw hue; the head is short lived. Nice fine perlage. The aroma is interesting, there is wine barrel, wood, and some fruits; light cheese. Sour apples and very light acetone. The mouthfeel is round; the white wine grape is present, giving also a light acidity; very light residual sweetness; it has a strong wood character. Goes to the head in the end.
Very good wedding of beer and wine, but the result is not very harmonious, still a bit disconnected.

Hazy blond color, almost no head. Nice aroma, delicate, vinous. Dry and acidic mouthfeel, not much character from the beer but quite evident from the grape; everything is balanced, the sourness, the fruity touch, some light astringency; compared to some Montegioco, this one, although similar, has more fruity touch and it’s softer. Excellent.
