5-6% abv. Malted barley. Dry and light-bodied to better showcase the individuality of the hops in both aroma and flavour. A basic recipe is followed, with each batch utilising different hop varieties from around the world based on seasonality, availability, and the whims of the brewer.

500 ml bottle bought @ The Bottle Shop Canterbury. Pours very hazy pale golden with a small bubbly white head that quickly dissipates while leaving some lacing on the glass. Smell is slightly sweet and hoppy fresh with green grapes, lemon balm, dill, wet leaves, lemon zest, grapefruit juice, passion fruit, cereal, dew covered green leaves, wet soil, unripe plums, mud and hints of biscuits and rubber. Taste is tiny sweet, slightly bitter and tiny sour with green grapes, passion fruit, unripe pineapple, freshly cut grass, unripe pears, lime juice, wet soil, dill, star fruit, lemon balm and hints of lemon juice and lemon zest. Mouthfeel is crisp, refreshing and light bodied. Finish is tiny sweet, slightly bitter and very tiny sour with green grapes, passion fruit, lemon balm, orange peal, star fruit, grass and dill. Clean, simple and refreshing.

(bottle, 5.1% abv) Cloudy, orange colour with a big and slightly yellow foamy head. Intensively fruity hoppy aroma with notes of grapefruit and passion fruit, accompanied by piney and resiny notes on a mildly malty background. Mildly bitter flavour, quite slim bodied with a moderate carbonation. Fruity and piney hops character upfront with yeasty notes and a rather slim pale malty base; dry and moderately bitter and fruity hoppy finish. Again a very aromatic Kernel brew; could have had more body though. 07.III.12

Bottle: Golden with an orangey sheen, cloudy, stable loose whize head, mainly solid grapefruity to piney hops in the nose, sweet pale malt underneath; light bodied but soft, moderate to solid bitter-sweet flavour; lingering zesty (grapefruity)-bitter finish with some yeasty tartness in the aftertaste. Pretty good....

Bottle from Beer Ritz, Leeds. Murky orange pour with a well proportioned and attractively lingering white head. Top notch fragrant Nelson Sauvin aroma, orange, berry fruit, lime and cat piss all tussled for position. Superb assertive fruit and hop notes in the flavour. Solid sweet malty base provided the stage for the sauvins to sing from with notes of tangy grapefruit, herbs and kiwi. Crisp, clean and super downable. Great stuff.

Kegged. Cloudy orange with a small white head. Strong tropical fruit juice aroma, white wine, apricot and pineapple. Sweetish fruity flavour with lots of hop character, but subdued bitterness. A little grainy malt character in the background.

Bottle at the Kernel Brewery. It pours hazy orange-gold, with a decent off-white head. The nose is peach, orange, grapefruit, sweaty socks and grass. The taste is full of juicy citrus fruit (mango, passion fruit, kiwi), orange pith, red apple, grass, floral, leather and light earth, with a pleasant bitter-dry finish. Medium body, average carbonation and great balance. Very drinkable.

Pours gold into a shaker. Off-white head with medium retention recedes leaving spot lacing. Tropical and summer fruit aromas. Medium bodied and well balanced with sweet caramel upfront and a tropical resin finish.
