Bottled. A hazy deep red beer with a lazing light tan head. The aroma has strong notes of lemon, brettamyces, and some caramel. The flavor is sour with notes of wood, brettanomyces, over ripe berries, and lemon, leading to a tart finish. Thanks fiulijn for giving this.

2013-10-18, parallel tasting between the first batch (no bottle info; 8-5-8-4-17=42) and a recent one (vintage 2011, bb 2013-12, 9-5-7-4-16=41)
The younger vintage is darker in color, the older vintage has a better head and head retention. The younger one has a smashing apricot aroma, and sharp acidity; the older one is more round, complex and funky.

2009-07-25, bottle, 7-5-7-4-15=38
Mahogany color with red shades; small creamy head. The aroma is initially a mix of lactic sourness and chocolate; there is also a light fruit touch, very light acetone; then the acetone disappears and some more apricots show up. The body is well structured, maltier than other Oud Bruin; there is less apricot than when I tried it from the tank; the light acetone may be disturbing; but overall it’s well balanced, and it may gain complexity in some time.

2009-04-04, "Mange, c’est de la bière!" at the brewery, from the maturation tank, brewed in Sept 2008, 7 months old, 7-4-7-4-15=37
Brewed using a locally produced apricot wine, 2 years old

Hazy dark amber color. Nice lactic aroma, harmonious, a bit fruity, delicate. Good body strength, dynamic caramel flavor, with light residual sweetness, light acidity and fruitiness, well mixed. Correct bitterness. Balanced. Very interesting.
