(Cask at Cock Tavern, Hackney, London, 17 Nov 2023) Reddish amber colour with foamy, white head. Fruity nose with red apples, herbs and blood orange. Fruity, tart taste with notes of red apples, blood orange, redcurrant and a touch of yeast. Generous acidity. Light body, quite dry. Fresh, tart and tasty. Very nice.

Can from Appellation Wines. Appearance - cloudy red grape in colour with the odd floater visible too. Some head retention unusually. Nose - tart redcurrant combined with sweet apple jelly. In general quite perfumed. Taste - redcurrant jelly, a touch of cranberry, red cherry and red apple skin. Palate - light bodied, a lovely balance between tart fruit, tannic fruit skin and sweet fruit and alcohol. Overall - I really like this, for some reason.

330ml can from Cat in the Glass. Hazy reddish colour, bubbly pink foam head and aroma of redcurrant, fleshy apple. Taste is sweet, tangy, tart, redcurrant, apple, fleshy, cooked apple, and some lingering citric sourness. Medium bodied, light carbonation, drying sour tart finish. Quite drinkable.
