Made mostly from the lovely, soft, bittersweet Somerset Redstreak apple, complemented by the acidity of the fresh and highly-scented Brown’s apple. This makes for a perfect for early Spring bottling and a pleasant lower in alcohol cider option.

75cl bottle from Spar, Llanfyllin. Hazed golden orange appearance. Seems to have a smoother, more harmonious flavour profile than what I remember from ten years ago which tended to be more acetic and barrel-influenced. Good natural fruitiness, decent redstreak showcase with a soft tannic grip, gentle carbonation. Enjoyable natural cider.

750ml bottle from Welsh Mountain Cider. Orangey gold colour, short-lived white foam head that dissipates to a thin rim and aroma of apple, fruity, woody funk. Taste is tangy, apple, fruity fleshy, with some acidity and drying tannins. Medium bodied, light carbonation, dry tannic finish. Quite drinkable.
