Can from LCB, consumed 2 weeks after BBE. Light hazed golden brown pour with off white head. Aroma starts quite flowery and then almond essence cherries and fruit cake come in. Taste of almond oil, bread, lemon zest, cinnamon, cherries. I was expecting something bakewell tart like but its more bready and the almond element a touch artificial/stale. I did like the cherries, dried fruit and richness to the malt however. Nice medium body for the strength and fine carbonation works well.

Clear golden beer, white head. Light malty, fruity aroma. Flavour has light but distinct cherry uo front, a little nuttiness, a breadiness to it and does manage to.combine in a way that's a bit cakey and doesn't even do badly on the body front. Super sessionable.

Can from Appellation Wines. Appearance - deep amber with a white to beige head. Nose - cherry, cherry stone and like cakiness. Taste - cherry and orange mainly. Still some cake lurking and at the very end there's a bit of almond and cherry stone coming through. Palate - light bodied, tangy middle and finish. Some sweetness. Overall - not bad.

Cask-conditioned at the Gryphon, Bristol 27/1/2022. Golden in colour, with a slight, off-white, head. Aroma of almond, caramel and some red berry sweetness. Flavour had rich tea biscuit maltiness, marzipan and cherry sweetness, before a gentle finish. A fully flavoured, bakewell slice of a beer, which I enjoyed.

Colne Beer Festival 2023. Dark clear golden in colour. Full of fudge style caramels in taste, although less stated in aroma. It comes across a lot stronger and fuller than its strength might suggest.

440ml can - Pours a clear dark amber with a small frothy beige head. Aroma is light toffee, caramel, fudge and light marzipan. A moderately sweet to light sweet taste, sweet malts, waifer biscuits, vanilla, cherry jam and marzipan flavours with a light bitterness in a sweetish finish.
