Half-pint, cask ale at Coronet, (JDW). Covering pearl white head, good lacing, clear amber body. Promising on the nose with ripe citrus and mild malty sweetness. Orange and earthy malts, mid-sweet to the taste buds followed by a mid-dry bittersweet ending. Drinks very well. Pretty good. (London 06.12.2023).

Cask at The Gordon Highlander, Inverurie. It pours clear golden - amber with a handsome fluffy white head. The aroma is sweet candied citrus, blood orange, pink grapefruit, pissy, piney and some biscuit. The taste is firm dryness, restrained bitterness, pithy, zesty, plenty of citrus, lemon, grapefruit, toasty grains, biscuity malt, pissy vibes and a hint of pine with a dry finish. Average body and fine, velvety carbonation. Nice session gear. Balanced malt and hops. Not bad actually.

Caskbat Tilly Shilling Spoons, Farnborough. A Christmas Citra SIPA. OK? Aroma has light citrus and grains. Clear gold. Thin foamy translucent white head. Medium bitter. Quinine rather than resin. Bitter citrus streak. Underlying chewy malts. Light-medium bodied. Slick. Soft carbonation. Long dry astringent finish. A hoppy Gold as opposed to being a true IPA for me. OK. Abrasive rather than well used hops.

Cask at the Hope and Champion, Beaconsfield. Poured a clear golden colour with a lasting frothy white head. The aroma is malt, light citrus fruits. The flavour is moderate to light bitter and sweet, with a smooth, grainy, yeasty, light citrus, hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Pours a lightly hazed amber colour with a small thin white head that quickly settled. A light aroma, light malts and citrus. A moderately sweet taste, sweet malt and fruity citrus flavours and hoppy bitter finish. The citra hops are there but a little muted.

[Cask at the Hope Tap (JDW), Reading.] A pale amber pour with a thick white head; citrus aroma; crisp citrus taste with some orange and grapefruit; and a bitter pithy finish. A straightforward Citra ale.
