An exercise in forbearance, Rodeo Time was brewed with six different types of rye malt, and laid down for extended aging in bourbon barrels. The first from-scratch recipe designed by Head Brewer Seth Morton, Rodeo Time exudes a deep and diverse rye character, with elements of sweet grain, spice cake, caramel, and well-aged spirit.

Bottle thanks to George. Pours a dark brown with small beige head that lasts. The aroma is rye, caramel, candi sugar, wood. Medium body, similar flavors to nose, nice sweetness, boozy finish, very nice.

(Thanks, Jeremy JStax) Bottle. A- Booze, rye, fruit cake, sweet. A- Brown color, clear liquid, minimal head. T- Fruit cake, rum, booze, butterscotch, mild rye. P- Full body, average texture, average carbonation, slightly sweet finish. O- Much sweeter than expected but not cloying. This is a big beer and I think would be best drunk in small pours. Solid beer.

Bottle shared by JStax, thanks Jeremy at the Omaha Ratebeer/ Untappd summer gathering. The addition of the Candi syrup adds some sweetness that is cut by the rye and bourbon. Real nice!
