Taster at the brewery. Pale yellow color with white head. Aroma is some fresh fruits, apricots, a bit biscuity. Taste is light, refreshing, spicy, apricots. A light and easy Saison, not too complex on the spices and not too dry.

A lightly hazed blonde saison with a thin white head. In aroma, sweet fruity malt with white grapes skin, powdery mineral notes, light sulfur notes. In mouth, a nice fruity malt with light curacao, coriander, citrus, sweet finish. On tap at Downtown Brew fest LV 2013.

Draught Small white bubbles over pale golden beer. Very sharp, coriander and yeast with 4Vinylguaiacol nose, cloves and sulphur. Sweetish, and again clovey Weizen features. Quite slick, medium bodied, alcoholtouches despite low ABV. More Weizen than Saison.

Sampled on draft at Fat Head’s in Pittsburgh this beer poured a dark amber color with a medium sized beige head that produced some lacing. The aroma was dry, spicy and herbal with a sharp fruity hop presence. The flavor was spicy, tart and citric with faint must and a touch of funk. The finish was medium length dry orange and must. Medium body. Solid.

On tap at the Bocktown. Nice golden clear pour with a very thin scummy pond top. Good clean beery aroma. At first some bitterness but that fades rather quickly. Eventually evolves into an odd leathery like feel. Decent amount of CO2. Finish is OK and there is very little rudeness overall. Goes down fairly easy. Comes across rather mild in the alky department.

Sample at BP. Pours a fairly clear orange with little head. Orange blossoms and coriander dominate the nose and flavor picks up on these and has a nice little tart lemony current that ties them together. Finishes kind of sweet on the palate with a little bit of creaminess.

On cask at the brewer’s night at the Daily Pint. I am sorry, but I feel that most saison’s don’t do well on cask. At least this one didn’t at all. It needs carbonation to liven up the body and at a little bit of bite from the carbonation. Murky golden body with a lasting white head of frothy bubbles. Aroma of yeast esters, clove, banana, dryness, candi sugar, herbal hops and white pepper. Taste is dry, cilantro, pepper, pear, herbs and marrow. Medium to light bubbles, cask like mouthfeel. Dry residuals. Cask conditioning leaves this saison tasting a bit of the flat side of things.
