[2/21/15] Draught at Toronado in San Diego. Clear golden. Lovely hoppy aroma with lots of tropical fruits and citrus. Hoppy flavor with nice fruitiness and a bitter finish. Light to medium-bodied. Very nice.

On tap at the Bruery. Aroma has a nice, crisp, fairly strong citrus hop character with light tropical fruit and pine resin. Light grain malt notes and clean yeast character. Pours a clear golden color with a medium white head with decent retention. Medium light lacing and light legs. Light grain character in the flavor with hints of biscuit and toasted bread. Moderate hop bitterness with moderate hop notes of citrus, pine resin and a touch of wood and floral hop notes. Light alcohol spice and clean yeast. Mouthfeel is medium light bodied with medium carbonation. Low astringency and medium low alcohol warmth. Overall, a really nice, hoppy imperial lager. I would prefer fruitier hop notes, especially in the flavor but its really easy drinking.

Draft pour at the Toronado tasting event. Pours a super cloudy yellow color. Bitter floral hop aroma. Really hoppy lager with a decent bitter finish. This is a good beer for sure, but wouldn’t really call it great. Enjoyed it for sure.

Draft @ Good Karma, San Jose. Light haze in a gold liquid. Aroma is big citrus and hints of cat pee. Citra hops? Am I right with the Citra? Lots of fruit aromas. Body and mouthfeel is right for the style, light bitterness. The flavor is rather good for the style. Lots of fruity citrus balanced with biscuit / dough malt. Crisp finish with nice tropical fruit flavor. Really simple to drink could border on the IPA style.

Nice hoppy nose with somewhat of a preserved malt base. Despite the lagering, the elements seem to work well in preservation here. Pours gold with ok head and lacing. Finishes with light bitterness and a tough of sugary sweetness. Some booze evident. Tap at Boundary Road.

Deep golden color, frothy white head, nice carbonation. Sharp hoppy nose that is fairly herbal with oranges and peaches. The mouth is a bit heavy, full on hop assault, but sufficient enough backbone to balance everything out. Big bad bitter finish. Very aggressive. Hops just linger and linger. Fantastic and really well executed.

Tap. Pours clear golden with a large creamy beige head that dissipates slowly with nice lacing. Aroma is light pine, citrus, Passionfruit, guava, musk melon. Flavor follows, light sweet and medium bitter, fruity, tropical, a bit dank. Pretty nice finish with lingering tropical bitterness. Medium body, oily mouthfeel

Tap at Proletariat, NYC, 25/11/13. Additional thanks to Puzzl for confirming which beer I’d had at a later date! Lightly hazed golden amber with a moderate off white head, good lacing ensues. Nose is tarte grapefruit, bitter orange, lemon sherbet, citric dipped straw, light funk. Taste comprises orange pith, grapefruit, toasted malt, tarte orange peel, grassy. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, dry grassy finale. Decent, a little differnt form the Bruery, hopped up pils.
