Sampler at the brewpub in Santa Rosa. Bananas, spicy, light lemony. Dry and spicy. Malty, a bit doughy. Tastes just like in Belgium. Crisp mouthfeel. Light and refreshing. Well-brewed, yes, generic, yes.

On tap at Toronado, February 2014. Hazy golden with a small head. Aroma and taste of citrus, hay, some light spices, grapefruit and some orange. Soft and easy to drink. A descent one.

On tap at the brewpub. Pours with a hazed pale golden hued body with a white head and good lace. Aromas are dry with spicy phenols, hay, bready, dry pear esters, wet grass, damp hay, cleanly hoppy and peppery. Flavors are very dry, medium esters, peppery. Balanced slightly bitter, light grain. Great execution. Lively bubbles, dry and firm phenol and bitterness give a crisp finish.

Tap. Cloudy yellow, small white head, dissipates slowly with nice lacing. Aroma is banana, lemon, clove. Light sweet, light lemon zest tartness. Light body.
