Bottle shared by sic1314 @ The Hague Tasting. Dark brown color with a nice deep dark red glare coming through, medium sized beige head that leaves nice lacing. Smell and taste malts, raisins, sweetness, some herbs or spices, maybe anise. Lightly oily texture, average to medium body, soft carbonation. Can’t help it but I don’t like it.

Thanks to quack-duck for that one! Bottle looks simple but really good. Beer in the glass deep black, nice head. Roasty-malty aroma. Starts strong-malty, roasty, a bit earthy-woody. Hints of cinnamon and liquorice, not too dry. Soft-malty finish with hints of chocolate. Really good!

Bottle from Tanakaya, shared at a dark beer tasting. Dark brown ruby pour, light head nutty caramel aroma, very toffee like, the taste is grainy, malty sweet with a light body but overall it is a solid porter. Not mind blowing but better than most expected.

Reddish brown. Persistent head. Some aroma of prunes, dates and berries. Round and filling mouthfeel. Taste of sweet malts, walnuts and dark chocolate, with a light bitterness. Good drinkability.

Pours very dark red, almost black with big light tan head. Aroma is roasted malts with hints of cocoa. Taste follows the aroma: roasted malts, chocolate, sweetness and slight bitterness. Finish is chocolate, slightly sweet and bitter. The carbonation is lively and seems artificial. Alcohol is really well hidden. Overall: nice solid porter. --- Beer merged from original tick of Porter (Boom) 19° on 16 May 2018 at 22:59 - Score: 7. Original review text: Still good

05/08 A 0.5 l bottle from Csak a jo sör, Budapest. It poured dark brown body with quite a big brownish head atop. Fine coffee, red brick and some acidic, licorice aroma. Flavor was more inclined to the sweet side, with chocolate and caramel besides coffee and touch of milk and wood. Some bitterness showed of these roasted malts as well, rounding it nicely. Full bodied with long, pleasantly bittersweet finish. Being a fan of the style I liked this beer even more.
