On tap at Tørst. Pours black with a foamy tan head. Chocolate, biscuit, raisin, prune, light toasty smoke notes, s’mores. Nice soft body. Excellent.

Quite dark brown, thin head. Lots of chocolatey notes, low bitterness, maybe a touch of fudge.

Tap at the Santa Cruz Taproom. Roasty nose, dark chocolate, coffee. Pitch black pour. Creamy flavor, nice chocolate sweetness then turns to a dry, roasty finish. Solid.

Growler at the Mar Claire. Pours black with medium tan head that diminishes quickly. The aroma is roasted malt, dark chocolate, nuts. Medium body, similar flavors to nose, nice bitter roast finish, very good.

Draft at the brewery Santa Cruz. Clear dark mahogany brown coloured pour with reddy hues, thin light tan head. Aroma is jammy plum, dark chocolate, slight ashy roast. Flavour is composed of nutty malts, choc, lactose sugars, some dried fruits, jammy fig and plum. Palate is semi sweet, milky choc, highish carbonation . lingering woody char and soft roast.

Keg at SARA, 02/02/16. Black with a well appointed tan covering. Nose is roast malt, Chocolate, toffee fudge, dark fruit whisper. Taste comprises chocolate malt, raisens, dark malt, cocoa powder, dark toffee fudge. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Solid porter ... well balanced and a pleasure to slide down.i

Draught at Sante Adairius. Opaque black liquid with small to medium light tan head. Aroma of coffee, light ash, toast, light smoke, toffee and raw sugar. Taste is light sweet and light bitter with notes of coffee, chocolate and raw sugar. Medium bodied with medium carbonation. Nice.

Draft at the brewery taproom. Pours deep brown with a tight, creamy tan head. The nose has nicely rounded roasted malts, tobacco ash, cocoa. Medium sweet flavor with ashy roast, baking cocoa, day-old coffee, scorched earth. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Bitter ashy roast on the finish, more earth, cocoa, dry coffee. Nice.
