Tap at MadFest III, huge thanks to the MS crew for this! Pours orange smoothie with thin head. Nose is mainly sweet, showing notes of honey amd fruits, but there’s some passion fruit-sourness in there too. Taste is nicely balanced between the same sweet/tart notes with a long lasting sweet finish. Light to medium body, soft to average carbonation. Showed some potential but didn’t deliver that much, perhaps it was too cold (the beer I mean). Still pretty tasty tho.

Can, courtesy of MiP. Pours hazy pale straw with small white head. Muddled aroma of burnt rubber and yeast, with malty touches. Vinous flavour with notes of honey and touches of yeast and malt. Dusty and plasticky aftertaste with acidic notes. Well, frankly, I do not know what to think of it. It is definitely a sour beer but the meady notes are very mild, if present at all I do not consider burnt rubber to be an essential component of mead, so I find it hard to appreciate them. Drinkable and interesting, though.

Can. An unclear yellow beer with a fast diasspearing white head. The aroma has notes of passion fruit, citrus fruits, honey, and malt. The flavor is sweet with nots of alcohol, passion fruit, lime, honey, and malt, leading to a tart lime finish.

Can by way of Beermalade. The individual components are pretty good. Moderate passionfruit and guava, moderate sourness. Moderate honey character beneath, just assertive enough. Moderate sweetness, moderate body. On paper this even sounds good and I guess it even is good, just not great. The character is unbalanced and rough, clashing with itself, especially in the first few sips. Then it seems to round out as you get used to it. Easy drinking at least.

Can. hazy yellow orange color. Passion fruits, guava. Taste, strong guava and passion fruits, light peppery, sour finish. Not well balanced. .
