500ml bottle @ Chez Sophie mini-RateBeer gathering July 2020, at which the photo for this beer was taken, with Jeremy wearing his green shirt from the Cook Islands. Thanks Martin for the beer! Clear gold, sparse white topping. Aroma has lagery suggestions, taste is malty sweet, slotting comfortably into the box marked euro-lager. Not unpleasant.

Cheers Martin for bringing a 500ml bottle of this and cheers also to Glen for posting the beer picture with me holding the bottle! Looks, smells and tastes like a bland Lager. Nothing to make it stand out from the crowd, but nothing really wrong with it either. My 12th Latvian rate!

Bottle from Linda shop, Burton-on-Trent (not listed on RateBeer) Another Latvian beer that I’ve been drinking for ages, but only just got around to rating. I can’t believe there’s only one previous rating on here ! Anyway, not much of an aroma, just some vague hoppiness. Pours a golden yellow. Head is off white, with a slightly greenish tinge. Vigorous and frothy, but soon dissipates. In the mouth it is gently carboated, has bready notes with a few hops to hold it together. Getting hoppier in the finish – but its too late. Bland, but nice and drinkable.

Õlle on selline jook, et iga uus kord kui klaasi või pudeli suule tõstad, siis leiad midagi uut, sõltuvalt tuhandest-miljonist pisiasjast, mis hetke olukorda mõjutavad. Seega piirdun iga õlle juures selle tekstiga.
