Sample courtesy of Grumbo, cheers! Aroma of chocolate, caramel, berries, slightly roasted malts and hints of maple syrup. Malty fruits and honey comes through on the taste but it is quite weak and watery. Looks good, smells good, just a bit thin.

22/8/2021. Bottle bought direct from the brewery. Pours dark ruby brown with a small beige head. Aroma is malty, dried fruits, chocolate, toffee, molasses, hint of honey. Medium sweetness and bitterness with moderate body. Oily texture, average carbonation. Bittersweet finish, with a slight smoked edge developing. Not bad.

Panda at home, thanks to SHIG, 16/05/21. Rich mahogany brown veering towards black with a beige head that dissipates edgewards. Nose is fruit slice, herb, brown bread, light brown sugar dusting. Taste comprises dried fruits, light honey nip, dark malts, light herb, biscuit. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, light drying close. Passable affair.

500ml bottle [courtesy of Grumbo - cheers Graham!]. Almost opaque, redd-ish brown colour with slightly late awakening, small, creamy, moderately lasting, minimally lacing, off-white to beige head. Mellow, minimally toasty, malty aroma, notes of dark honey, some caramel, a touch of treacle, weak hoppy overtones with an unspecific, floral-fruity touch. Taste is slightly dry, hoppy and toasty malty, some floral hop, hints of dark honey, caramel, treacle, almost without residual sweetness. Texture is minimally thicker than water, smooth and soft palate, fine and soft carbonation. Nice colour and mouthfeel, well controlled (i.e. quasi absent) sweetness, sadly a bit anaemic overall - nice.
