330ml bottle. Minimally milky, darkest brown colour with ruby shimmer and small to average, frothy, moderately lasting, minimally lacing, off-white to beige head. Smoky, slightly chocolately, dark malty and caramel malty aroma, notes of smoked ham, wood ashes, hints of dark caramel, a touch of dark chocolate, coffee, very light, fruity overtones with a touch of cherry and plum. Taste is roasty, chocolately, dark malty, slightly smoky, notes of coffee, dark chocolate, a touch of tar, wood ashes, a very light peaty touch, cautious fruity hints of cherry and plum, minimally metallic overtones with a touch of iron. Watery texture with an oily strand, dry, minimally metallic-repellent palate, medium to fine, mildly prickly carbonation. Very nice composition of roasty, chocolately, smoky and caramel malty aspects, harmonious, balanced; I would highly appreciate to have an Imperial (or Bock-ish) version of this - pretty good!
