Created to challenge the perception of cider being just a summer drink, this is Little Pomona’s take on a youthful, new season cider; with the fruit pressed at the start of harvest, then ready to drink before Christmas! This means it's the first cider of the season to arrive, & a chance to celebrate the start of a new vintage!
Made from hand picked, pink fleshed Discovery (aka Disco!) & Rosette apples; with the merest splash of perry pears & Egremont Russet, added to the blend. It's a peachy pink cider with strawberry & cranberry, as well as more tropical, apricot & peach notes, on the nose. Made in collaboration with Helen Anne Smith & Rachel Hendry of Burum Collective. Fermented with wild yeasts & bottled pet nat. Alc. 6.5% vol.

750ml bottle from Fine Cider Co. Murky orangey gold colour, short-lived white foam head and aroma of fruity apple, strawberry, stone fruit. Taste is tangy, juicy apple, fruity, with strawberry notes, peachy, a hint of funk and some tart acidity. Medium bodied, light carbonation, drying tart finish. Nicely drinkable. --- Beer merged from original tick of Disco Nouveau Pét Nat 2021 on 07 Dec 2021 at 18:57 - Score: Appearance - 8 | Aroma - 8 | Flavor - 8 | Texture - 8 | Overall - 7.5.
