75cl bottle from Appellation Wines. Appearance - golden yellow with a very slight haze, though that could be condensation. Nose - funky up front, some oak notes and just a hint of bruised apple. Taste - funky and woody again, brown apple and still some fresh, green apple. Palate - light bodied at the front, then long, persistent, sour finish. Overall - challenging but good.

750ml bottle pour at Central Manchester Beer & Cider Festival 2021. Hazy gold colour, no head and aroma of funk, apple, wood barrel, slight mucky note. Taste is tangy, woody, apple, fruity, barrel edge, leathery funk and drying tannins. Medium bodied, low carbonation, dry finish. Very drinkable.
