500ml bottle. Minimally cloudy, copper-ish, nut brown colour with average to huge, thick, firm, frothy, moderately lasting and lacing, off-white to beige head. Mellow malty, slightly fruity aroma, hints of malt lozenge, caramel, a touch of cherry and red berries, dark bread, minimally leafy, hoppy overtones. Taste is sweet-ish and spicy, caramel and minimally bready malty, slightly bitter hoppy, hints of caramel, malt lozenge, a touch of dark bread, cherry, red berries, citrusy hoppy whiffs of mandarine and lemon. Minimally creamy, watery texture, smooth and soft palate, medium to fine, soft carbonation. Well balanced, harmonious, clean - good.

Bottle. Clear red/amber sporting a lovely big white head. Aroma of malts, peat, raisins, nuts and caramel. Taste features all of the above plus hints of red fruits and metal. Moderate bitterness. Medium carbonation. Light but flavorful. Gets me in the mood for a wee dram of Scotch (sic).

Bottle from a local supermarket. Looks simple but good. Beer in the glass dark brown, nice head. Starts mild, malty, roasty, not too dry. Some hints of caramel, some chocolate, mild sweetness. Finish well balanced, soft-malty, quite drinkable. Not bad!

0.5 l bottle from local 'real', best before October 2021. Almost clear, deep reddish amber with a medium large, dense, stable, beige head. Sweetish-malty, a little fruity aroma of nuts, caramel, light raisins and traces of chocolate. Gently sweet, malty, moderately bitter, minimally fruity taste of caramel, nuts, a touch of raisins and light chocolate, followed by a short, gently bitter, minimally roasty, moderately earthy, quite dry finish. Medium body, smooth and gently effervescent mouthfeel, average carbonation. Solid Ale, definitely nice for the style, I don't get the typical 'red fruits' though.
