Bottle. Appearance - mat black with an olive sheen. Light gusher. Tan head. Nose - booze, raisin and sweet milk chocolate. Taste - raisin, prune, booze and sweet chocolate again. Palate - a little boozy around the edges. Medium to full bodied. Good linger. Overall - good if a bit gnarly.

330 ml bottle, from Kalø Whisky & Vin, Denmark. ABV is 4.2%. Black colour, large greyish-beige head. Distinct aroma of chocolate, also notes of coffee, oatmeal and brown sugar. Fizzy mouthfeel. The flavour is slightly sweet, with the same elements as the aroma, some earthy hops in the finish.

Bottle picked up at Westhill Service du station. It pours opaque black with quite a thick, foamy tan head. The aroma is bitter - sweet, dark chocolate, chocolate gateaux, chocolate fondant, coffee grounds and earthy roast. The taste is dry roast upfront, bitter - sweet, rich toasted action, charred, dark chocolate, cocoa powder, some spice, earthy, touch of blackberry jam, burnt toast and some spice with a dry, roasted finish. Average body and quite high, foamy carbonation. Decent enough but a bit too much on the foamy carbonation side.
