Session IP-8. IP-8? It’s not a new beer style, just a celebration of the arrival of the Poseidon P-8A aircraft to Lossiemouth. The beer is a gorgeous session IPA with fantastic citrus flavours coming from the Amarillo hops and sweet orange peel.

Hops: Admiral, Cascade, Amarillo
Malts: Pale Malt, Wheat, Oats
Other: Sweet orange peel

Bottle 33 cl. Pours a hazy golden with a small and rough, white head. Odd, spicy and medicinal aroma. Light body, fruity, citrusy and slightly yeasty. Again a spicy touch. Little bitterness. Different take on the style, but not necessarily bad. 030822

On cask @ the Stockbridge Tap (23/11/21). Appearance - deep golden going into amber. Proportionate head. Nose - floral, orange and bready. Taste - more orange and bread. Herbs lurking. Palate - light bodied, balanced bitterness. Overall - quite good.

Bottle from Westhill Service Station. It pours golden - amber with a thick, fluffy white head. The aroma is fragrant, floral, orange blossom, bready malts, biscuit and a some soapy citrus. The taste is crisp, firmly dry, pithy, zesty, waxy citrus peel, floral, orange blossom, touch of spice, some bread and biscuit with a bitter, zesty linger. Light to medium body and moderate, fluffy carbonation. Simple and easy going. Would probably really sing on cask.
