Bottle. Black with a brown head that doesn't last. Aroma of mocha, cinnamon, buns. Seems more complex and more intense upon a taste yet not heavy with elements having room for themselves. Sweet, sweeter than it seems at first with bread, chocolate brioche, Indian sweetmeats including spices beyond cinnamon and vanilla (like cardamon and mace), hints of berries and roses. Slick with low carbonation. Intriguing, stylish stuff.

33cl bottle from Abeervinum, Rimini, Italy. Pours pitch black, dense, with close to no foam. Aroma is milk chocolate, lots of vanilla and cinnamon, caramel and molasses, figs. Body is thick with nice small tickling carbonation. Taste is pretty sweet, with some underlying roasty bitterness. Final is long and warm, embracing.

Bottle sample at a tasting at Yoav's place. Black, brown foam. Lots of tonka, chocolate, cinnamon, a bit of vanilla, sweet, a bit umami, some alcohol, full-bodied.

Einde van m'n week vrij verzachten. Lekker biertje. Ik schrok even van de kaneel in de geur, maar het smaakt allemaal bij elkaar toch wel goed. Zwaar en verwarmend.

Pitch black pour with a fine-grained tan head. Notes of coconut, vanilla, huge tonka, cinnaomon, roasted malt, milk chocolate. Smooth texture, rich flavour and a bitter-sweet finish. A very nice stout.
