Blended to celebrate our anniversary, Avalonia is a barrel-aged, mixed culture beer. The various threads of the blend were brewed in the summer of 2017 and aged over many months in white wine barrels. With Avalonia, we found a beer with an expressive/funky nose, rounded but pronounced acidity and flavors reminiscent of dried apricot.

Sample @ Hudson Valley line bottle share. Tart, funky and heavy with plum notes, some sourness and oaky notes. Nice.

Bottle thanks to Sherrice. Pours a cloudy ruby with small off white head that lasts. The aroma is strong cherry skin and oak. Thin body, sweet cherry, spice, oak, light acidity, very good.

B1 , thnx to Koen Ko. Pours unclear amberblonde, small white head. Smell is intense, malty, creamy, tart, well balanced. Pretty nice ! Taste is full, tart, lemon, malty, rather creamy tartness. Lactic sour ( very lactic, but not overly sour ) . Malty, full ending. Fruity. Nice ! perhaps a bit butteryness, not so much in the flavor as in the body, making the beer more creamy. That works really well tho !
