3/XII/23 - 33cl bottle from Geers (Oostakker), shared @ home, BB: 10/VI/19, batch: 12/18 (2023-1125)
Clear dark brown beer, big creamy beige head, stable, adhesive, leaving some lacing in the glass. Aroma: good roast, some alcohol, pretty oxidized, lots of dried fruits, a bit of cardboard, chocolate, nice stuff! MF: lively carbon, medium to full body. Taste: bitter start, good roast, pretty malty, quite some coffee, caramel, fudge, some dark chocolate, dry. Aftertaste: a bit oxidized, raisins and prunes, bitter, more roast, coffee grit, pleasant sweetness, caramel and chocolate in the finish. Very nice beer!

Sampled at LIBF18. Thnx for sharing, everyone ! Pours black rather clear. Small tanned head. Smell is very lactose forward. Taste is sharp, sweet, lactose overkill. Ok.

Sampled from a bottle at LIBF, Polish milk stout with cobweb-lacing, pale yellowish beige, moussy, stable head and very dark chestnut-bronze robe, bordering on black. Aroma of coffee grounds, smoked bacon, pipe tobacco, coffee cream, wet leather, tea, milk chocolate. Sweetish onset, dried elderberries and candied figs, soft carb, supple oily, creamy mouthfeel yet less creamy than I was expecting seen the style; very caramel candy-like, toffeeish malt sweetness with chocolatey edges as well as toasty bitterness, smoky notes, gently bittering finish more from toasted malts and light coffeeish roastedness than from hops. Moderately sweet stout, well done.
