Bottle 50 cl. Pours an opaque black with a dense, lacing, light brown head with good retention. Rich and solid very malty body. Sweet vanilla and licorice. Not so much fuss, but incredibly well brewed. 271217

50cl bottle @ ISKTR 2017. Poured near black with a thick brown head. Aroma has ashy notes, roasted malt, chocolate. Ashy flavors, roastedness, some milky sweetness. Heavy. Dry finish.

(Keg at Alus Celle, 20170106) The beer poured black. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had dark chocolate, creamy coffee and burnt malts. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were hops, burnt malts, cocoa, dark chocolate, ash and bitterness. Aftertaste was burnt and bitter. A good balanced porter.

Bottle from Taka, Riga. Pours pitch black with tan head. Heavy, roasted aroma with liquorice and chalk. Similar taste with dry roast, liquorice, vanilla and a bit of chalk. Not very sweet, but very balanced roast. This is really a good, dry porter.

500ml Bottle - Black in colour. Plain chocolate, liquorice and some vinous notes in the aroma. Roasted, chocolatey, fairly rich and slightly smoky taste with chocolate, vanilla, coffee and roasted malt standing out.
