Translation: Porter -Porter- Malduguns is the king of the dark end. The dark and complete line that dominates the malt is dominated by light roasting and soft coffee notes. Northdown hop is added to balance.
Note: Initially 6.7%/32 IBU.

Mi to przypominalo belgijska wersje Guinnessa, Niemal genialne.

Smell of roasted malt, ash, some tar. Very dark brown colour, dark brown head. Aroma of tar, coffee, chocolate, roasted malt. Burnt sugar in finish. Lively carbon. Slightly foamy palate. Bitter, medium sweet. Decent, nonsurprising porter.

Re-rated based on a checklist Smell-medium strong to strong, malt, coffee, roast, dark chocolate. Foam- thin to medium, roast, malt and more roast. Head is large, dark brown color. Appearance- brewer bottle cap, simple but somewhat interesting label. Black color, few carbonation bubbles. From - pint Taste- malt, roast, bitter tones, dark coffee. Bitter and roasty aftertaste. Not really for me. old score September 5, 2018: 6/3/6/3/14=3,2

0.5 liter bottle from Riga. Pours black, médium sized tanned head, average stability. Smell is roasty, intense, burnt malts. Taste is full, very roasty, rather dry, dark, very intense cocoa-level chocolate. Médium thick to thick body, average carbonation. Nice porter, but not overly memorable I suppose. Just well made. And for Latvia, certainly better than their 'usual' beers.

Bottled 330ml (Alko web)
Opaque colour, small steady beige head. Roasted aroma has dark bread. Medium-bodied, slick palate. Toasted, roasted, dark bready flavour. Finish has nice salt licorice touch. Bitterness in the aftertaste. So far the best I've got from Malduguns.
