Das Pale Ale aus Chinook-, Amarillo- und Mosaic-Hopfen kitzelt dich mit einer deutlichen Zitrusfruchtnote und rundet seinen harmonisch-komplexen Charakter mit einem klaren Pinienaroma ab. Im Abgang zeigt sich das Ankerbier angenehm bitter und klassisch trocken.
Mit dem konzentrierten Geschmack und der typisch-kräftigen Stilistik passt das Pale Ale zu Fleisch wie zu Meeresfrüchten, zu mildem Käse und allem, was würzig und scharf ist.
Oder es passt einfach zum entspannten Trinken ohne unnötige Worte. Ganz so, wie ein Ankerbier sein sollte.

Thnx to Carl. Pours clear amberblonde. Big to huge white head, rather pillow, and good stability. Smell is mild hoparoma, tad malty (very mild toasty, more intense white bread). Taste is medium to medium high bitterness. Oxidative notes ( bottle might be slightly to old) but still has some very nice hoparoma compounds. Decent to good balance, providing enough maltyness to make this an enjoyable beer overall. Not bad as it is. Probably even better when more fresh.

Heuartig hopfiger Geruch. Weich bitter, mild grasig, leicht erhöhte Karbonisierung. Dabei steigt die Bitterkeit unangenehm an, mild getreidig, leicht erhöhte Karbonisierung. Trocken. Okay. 10/11/10/11//11

Flavor is fairly bitter, malt, grassy, little spicy hops, bitter citrus, pine. Medium body, average to lively carbonation, dry and light bitter finish. 140917

Bottle. Creamy white good mostly lasting head. Yellow colour. Light malty and moderate hoppy aroma. Heavy bitter flavor. Strong grape notes. Long heavy bitter finish. Oily palate.

From tap. Pours hazy orange with a snall white head. Aroma is peachy and slight citrusy, mild herbal. Bitter, fruity, citrusy and slight peachy. Crisp hoppy finish. Dry, fruity and solid hoppy finish.

Aroma is moderate malty, sweet malt, pale malt, fruity malt, moderate hoppy, citrus, citrus fruity. Flavor is moderate sweet and moderate to heavy bitter with a long duration, zesty, citrus, fruity, sweet malt, pale malt, thin. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. 33cl bottle from a trade with fonefan, many thanks! Pours almost clear golden colour with a mid-sized most good lasting white head. Aroma of nice bitter hops, tangerine and grapefruit. Taste of quite bitter grassy hops, hay, citrus, tangerine, dry long bitter finish, really good!
