I’ve been waiting for My Ruca, or “one and only love”. Citrusy and tropical flavors abound in this American Pale Ale. This is our take on a “West Coast-Style” Pale Ale, which refers to the hop varieties used and the flavors they impart (delicious ones). Well-balanced, easy-drinking, pleasant (hop) character: all of the makings of a perfect soulmate, uh… I mean beer. We think you’ll find My Ruca to be sublime.

Sample during the ElkMoose Me, But Why Is Your Glass MT? event on 07/10/2020. Clear copper-gold color with a medium off-white head that diminishes steadily to an outer ring. Stringy lace. Grassy hop, fruit and malt in the nose. Light to medium body with flavors of grassy hops, citrus and roast malt. The finish is mildly bitter with a short fruity hop aftertaste. Decent overall.

Very crisp and pungent copper and bronze coloured body with a nice off-white head coloured head, only one to two centimetres tall, with tons of small bubbles rising from the bottom. Aroma of cleanser, deep pine and citrus with a good noticeable malty bite towards the end along with a dash of sugars in the mix. Medium-bodied; Strong crisp grainy flavour through the malt along with a caramelised sugar bite at first that has some yeast and wheat notes, but a dry and crisp hop character that shows a little bit of citrus, but more of the cleanser and pine notes, especially at the end with a strong bitterness from the alpha acids. Aftertaste is rich and deep and more malty than hoppy, but showing a nice layer of sugars. Overall, a nice and enjoyable, crisp beer that has a good layer of hops on top of a pungent malt backbone and a little bit of sugar and pungency, while being full-of-flavour. I sampled this sixteen ounce pour on draught at GunSight Saloon in Columbia Falls, Montana, after visiting Glacier National Park with my family on 27-July-2020 for US$5,00.

12 oz can from a six pack. About six weeks old. Aroma is cat piss, citrus peel, Pixie Stix, bready. Pours clear deep golden with a two finger bone-white head with good retention and lace. Taste is lightly bitter with citrusy hop flavor; lingering bitterness in the finish. Crisp, clean and refreshing. Great APA.

On tap. Pours a clear golden with a small, short lived, white head that leaves spotty lacing. Sweet aroma of grapefruit, pine and tropical fruit. Sweet flavour of grapefruit, tropical fruit, pine and pale malt with a dry, bitter, hoppy, light resin finish. Medium body with an oily texture and average carbonation. Pretty good.
