341ml bottle. Pours a clear golden orange with lots of sediment floating around and a large, frothy, long lasting, off-white head that laces nicely. Floral hoppy aroma of tropical fruit, grapefruit, pine needles and caramel malt. Sweet, clean, crisp flavour of tropical fruit, grapefruit pith, grass, pine needles and caramel malt with a dry, bitter, hoppy resin finish. Medium body with an oily texture and average carbonation. Nicely done.

Purchased at the brewery in Halifax. After having their Hopyard Pale, let’s see how this one differs. Same look, clean light-amber, great warm cap. The nose is pretty close with the fresh hops, grass. The difference is in the taste. This one is hoppier with lots of grass notes. Not as much grain like the other. Dry mouthfeel with some good bitterness. Nice IPA with some nice fruity notes over the hops.

Keg at the brewery. It pours clear amber with a medium white head. The nose is soft, fresh, juicy, tropical fruits, grapefruit juice and some toasty pine. The taste is crisp, clean, bitter, grapefruit rind, zesty lemon, peppery, pine, toasty grain, cracker, light floral and minerals with a lingering bitter-dry finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Crisp, clean and bitter. Solid ipa.
