Can from the LCBO. Pours a dark brown, with a small tan head. Aroma is nutty, and softly roasted with some light bread, and grass. Mouth feel is standard, and the carb is fine. Light crackery malts, light bread, solid nuttiness bordering on artificial, and quite sweet. Low bitterness, sweet nutty finish. Reminded me of Rogue Hazelnut, but watered down, and a little sweeter.

473ml can. Pours an opaque black with a small, creamy, long lasting, tan head that leaves curtains of lace. Sweet aroma of lightly toasted malt, milk chocolate, caramel, vanilla and pecan. Sweet flavour of roasted malt, dark chocolate, caramel and pecan in a dry, bitter coffee finish. Medium body with an oily texture and soft carbonation. Not bad. A little sweet, but tasty.

Quite sweet but quite bitter, but don’t mesh well together, but both taste good on their own. oakville beer store

Can, thanks Jonas. Dark brown with a medium tan head. Quite soft with nuts, light vanilla and chocolate. The body was medium and the finish fairly dry. A decent one.

This porter poured a deep black colour with a big, creamy brown head. Medium lacing. Scents include cocoa, cocoa and more cocoa. Maybe a little nuts and caramel too. First swig was strong flavoured with tastes of cocoa, dark toast and a little smoke. Finish is quite burnt and not as sweet as expected. Almost stout lingerings.

Pours a real dark brown, almost black, as hard to see any highlights. Creamy mocha head, decent lasting with a little lace. Very nutty nose with vanilla notes and chocolate malts. The taste starts off with roasted malts, smooth and a light sweetness comes in the finish. Roast coffee, kind of lingers with slight touch of hop greens. Easy to drink, not sweet in flavours to be hard on stomach. A nice nutty stouty roasted malt beer. Glad I got more of this.
