Cask at the Cock Tavern - Hackney. Pours clear copper-orange with a small, foamy white head. Lightly toasted grains in the nose, dried orange peel, a few leaves. Light sweet flavour with grassy bitterness, husky grains, more aged citrus peel. Light bodied with fine carbonation; nice condition. Finishes with more grassy-leafy notes, toasted grains. Fine overall.

Back from the dead brew! Bottle from Westhill Service Station. It pours clear golden - amber with a decent white head. The aroma is fresh, sweet, juicy, elderflower, caramel, dried apricot and apple pie. The taste is dry, bitter, earthy, wood, floral, citrus peel, resin, apple, custard, caramel and tannin with a drying finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Decent bitter with a particularly nice aroma.

Clear golden beer, white head, bitter sour fruit aroma. Flavour is light bitter hop, sour citrus. Not a huge amount else. It’s alright, not much more. A very Harviestoun beer.

On cask @ the Grosvenor. Appearance - golden with a light haze and a nicely proportioned head. Nose - lemon and grapefruit and zesty. Taste - all about citrus pith and zest no fruit. Lemon zest and pith mostly. Palate - light bodied with a lean tight zingy texture and a long dry finish. A bit too bitter for my palate. Overall - a bit one dimensional but decent.

Rising Sun, Manchester 27 Jan 13. Lys gylden. Lavt tett skum med teppelacing. Forsiktig fruktaroma & smak. Litt malt i ettersmaken. Litt kjedelig.
