Maple Porter. Acadian Groove emerges from the changing tempo of Spring in rural Ontario. The sweet, sappy change from bitter Winter brings such incredible joy to the thawing Ontarians, it demands a beer in celebration. Brewed with Ontario maple syrup from friends at Breedon’s Maple Farm in Alliston, Acadian Groove honours two solid Canadian icons: Maple Syrup and Craft Beer

Ejoyed at the Loon, March 13th, 2015, took this picture and had again in the bottle from the LCBO. Pours a copper brown colour, clean, with a small beige head and minimal lacing (more lace from the bottle). Beautiful real maple syrup aromas with some fruity notes. Thankfully, not as sweet in the taste, with the mild hops in the middle, coffee and roasted malts lingers. Hints of apples with the sweetness from the maple sap. Quite a nice maple beer with the heavy alcohol balancing things, and well-hidden.

This brew pours a dark brown color with some amber around the edges and a medium foamy beige head that dissipates steadily to a film. Small patches of lacing. Aroma of sweet maple and malt plus some vanilla. Medium to full body with a sweet malt and maple character, and flavors of vanilla coffee in the background. The finish is sweet with a malty aftertaste. Pretty good overall.

750mL bottle, sent from wilco (thanks a lot, Mike), pours a reddish dark brown with a small beige head. Aroma is intense as fuck, with insane maple notes upfront - wow. Vanilla secondarily but it's all maple syrup. Flavour is just like drinking maple syrup. It's sweet as hell, yet not cloying. Pretty close to authentic good quality maple syrup, with a touch of corn syrup. I'm really down with this. Thin body but it doesn't need any more. Love it.

750 mL bottle poured at the tasting. Thanks to Ferris for the share. Pours a fitting maple syrup color with a foam ring head. Smooth vanilla and maple aroma that filled the room. I thought the neighbors were gonna knock on the door and ask what we were baking. Smells like maple bar doughnuts, which I spent a year of my life making as my first job. Flavor is heavy maple syrup, vanilla, and cookie. Finishes like syrup soaked pancakes. Ideal breakfast beer. I actually liked this one a lot. Flavors like this can be too much sometimes, but it worked here.

Bottle - I can smell this across the table, maple syrup and vanilla. Clearish copper with a decent beige head. Sweet syrup, waffle like Bready notes and a sweet finish. A bit much for me.

Bottle at Black night 10/2015. Clear amberish dark brown colour. Intense maple in this one, honeyish, burizony, vanilla. Full bodied, complex, incredibly rich. Very sweet and very tasty, low carbonation, easy drinking, alcohol hidden well. Excellent.

Bottle from the LCBO. Slightly cloudy dark brown pour with a tiny khaki head. Nose is prominently maple with undertones of coffee and chocolate and a strong woody bourbon barrel vanilla. Flavour is moderately sweet but not as much as the nose would imply. There is a definite caramel and maple sweetness that is fairly constant from start to finish, but enough coffee bitterness to take the edge off. Mouth is full and creamy with soft carbonation. I was hesitant to try this one, but glad i did.

Bottle. Pours a near clear deep amber brown with a light yellowish brown head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has intense maple that is quite sweet with a bit of a brown sugar, light roasted malts and sweet grains backing. Flavor has lots of maple as well as a bit of earthy roasted malts to cut the sweetness with some grains backing.
