Medium offwhite head. Clear deep yellow body. Fruity spicy herbal aroma with cardamom notes. Dry fruity herbal cardamom taste with coriander notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, soft mouthfeel. Dry-sweet spicy coriander and seeds of paradise aftertaste with herbal fruity notes. Full of flavour, but drinkable even so. (0.33l bottle at Charlie’s Bar, Montpellier.)

Different take on a Belgian ale. Initial sweetness, almost like a French mirabelle beer. Golden in color with fast-fading white head. Aroma is light, taste is wheat (think weizen). This is a tough one, as it seems to be doing too mnay things....

Bottle from Terre de Boissons, Calais. Clear gold with thick lasting white head. Lots of peach ester on the aroma. Oh and apricot, lots of apricot. It’s a pretty decent blond. Lots of apricot and fullish in mouth. Some dryness on the finish. It’s very likeable and very drinkable. Love the apricot flavour. Nice.

Huge, somewhat fluffy yellowish head over well-carbonated, clear copperish-golden beer. Initially bit creamy nose, very discreet; later more pungent grassy-weedy notes. Soggy, dough-like malt taste, slightly toasted. Unappetizing. Certain, unpleasant stickyness; light to medium bodied, somewhat oily. Certain mineral water quality. Beerfactory Du Bocq at its worst. I hate myself writing it, but it’s just worth a tick.

33cl bottle @ home. Slightly unclear orange color, small to medium sized off-white head. Smell malts, yeasty and overripe fruits. Taste malts, some fruits: plums, prume, apricot and some sweet-bitter finish. Low to medium, very fizzy carbo, low to medium body.
