Yes, a sour beer can be a winter beer indeed! Just make sure it's a pastry sour, which we most certainly did.
In order to do so, this beer has lactose, plenty of cocoa nibs, some Tonka beans and loads of sour cherries.
A proper Christmas sour cake for sure!

Pours brownish, small off white head. Cherries and chocolate in aroma. Taste is balanced within sweetness from lactose and puckering sourness. Medium to moderate bofy and carbonation. Again puckering finish.

Bottle, 0.5l. Deep ruby pour, thin soapy off-white layer on top. No lacing. Sweet on the nose, caramel, molasses, cherry candy. Light to medium body, soft carbonation. Smooth mouthfeel and texture, soft, slightly chewy. Balanced sweet and sour taste, surprisingly more on the sweet side. Aroma of caramel, molasses, cherry candy. Sugary, mild citric notes. Sticky. Hints of chocolate. Medium lasting finish, sweet. Not bad but a bit too sweet to be called a sour.

0.5 l bottle, thanks to Marko who bought it for me. Dark ruby red to a brown colour. Small head. Dark cherry, nutty, chocolaty tonka bean presence, cocoa, dried fruit, ripe red fruit, pomegranate. Sour dark cherry jam flavour, very good cocoa balance. Moderately sour, puckering, dry, moderate body, moderate finish.

Bottled 500ml. -from Goblet Zagreb. Deep ruby red coloured, small off-white head that went away fast, cherries and whiff of spices in the nose. Cherries, marzipan, light spicy and touch of tonka beans with sweetish finish.

Bottle from Spicy days, shared with Hrabren. Rerate as my senses didn't function as well as hoped (my nose being stuck) the first time for a few hours - ugh. Anyway. The aroma is much more cakey and tonka-driven now, maybe that's just a feature of the draft version to put cherry more up front - and it's certainly there from the bottle, but certainly still nice, some specialty malts can be gleaned underneath. Tonka and cherry drive the taste with, again, the cocoa/specialty darker malt backbone underneath, quite pleasantly so. This is a very nice, innovative sour by all means, may even be underrating it. And hey, if Ogi gave a fruited sour a 3.5, you know it's good! Tap at Spicy Days, huge thanks Ivek! Dark ruby body, off-white to beige thick head. Creamy cherry aroma, some light soft spice, tonka undertones - same in the taste, sour cherries dominate, the spiciness is an afterthought, some light tonka and that's almost it. Slightly leaner than expected but still quite good. 7/4/7/4/14
