The trail runs from Edale, in the northern Derbyshire Peak District, north through the Yorkshire Dales and the Northumberland National Park and ends at Kirk Yetholm, just inside the Scottish border. The path runs along the Pennine hills, sometimes described as the "backbone of England"
Taste: Following in the steps of the traditional brown ales of northern England this premium strength dark ruby coloured beer has deep satisfying flavours of toffee and biscuit leading to a nutty finish.

500m bottle from Local Mace Shop. Coppery amber gold colour, thin white foam head and aroma of roasted malt, chocolate, toffee, dark fruit. Taste is roasty, malty, toffee, chocolate hint, with fruity notes and tangy earthy bitterness. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, dry roast bitter finish. Quite drinkable.
