Pours very dark copper, small white head with medium persistence. Smell is tad sweet, bourbon, oak, mild booze. Taste is caramel, dark malts, medium body and low carbo. Bit boozy. Some bourbon, some oak. Nice, but not particularly rememorable.

2015 Vintage. Dark pour with little head retention. Very oak and whisky forward. Caramel malty, dark fruits, fig. Medium full bodied. I wish the barrel was an it more restrained since it overpowers the rest of the beer. Still, not bad.

22 oz. bottle, pours a deep dark brown with a small beige head. Aroma brings out lots of bourbon barrels upfront, with some caramel and dark fruits providing a big body. Flavour matches accordingly, with loads of bourbon upfront, followed by caramel malts and dark fruits. Big body with nothing abrasive about it. Excellent.

22 oz bottle at the tasting. Pours a dark brown with a quick fade head. Whiskey forward aroma with a soft vanilla. Medium body with vanilla, coffee hints, and a hershey syrup like flavor. Tastes almost like a chocolate malt shake with bourbon. I’m for it.

Bottle - Dark malty and bourbon barrel notes. Deep dark cloudy brow with a small beige head. Sweet malty notes, bourbon and some Woody notes. Nice.
