Russian Imperial Stout Blended with a Sulzbacher Ginger No 13 both 13% beers. The heavy sweetness of the RIS is elevated by the No 13 while the maltiness' body is countered by the ginger beer's acidity.

Pours dark brown to black, small white head. Scent is bit soapy, clear ginger, milder roast. Not overly intense. Taste is fairly sharp, clear ginger (not overpowering) the stout is a bit pushed to the back. Not as thick as I had hoped. Not sweet (at all) yet not overly bitter. Hides the ABV extremel well. medium carbo. Weidr how this was 'rated '46/50 ' by a BJCP judge. Being one myself, i have a few questions. Nr 1 - what style did you rate this towards ??? as a stout, it certainly needs more body and intensity, as well as roast. it's not great, let's be honest here guys. It's a good drinkin' beer, which is hindered by the high ABV. All I can say is OK, and 'why' to the scoring 'given by a BJCP judge'.
