The second beer in this little HDHC series explores the limits of one of our all time favorite hops: Mosaic. It’s our second beer using HDHC hopping techniques, which stands for High Density Hop Charge. We’re using Mosaic Incognito and Cryo in the whirlpool, and Mosaic Cryo and Mosaic Spectrum and T90 for Dry Hopping. Expect a bright yellow New England IPA with only 6.2% ABV to really showcase Mosaic in all it’s glory. If this ain’t brewers porn, we’re not sure what is.

Can, 6.2%. Good dusty, mineraly and faintly fruity aroma. Cloudy yellow colour. Big stable white head. The flavour is yeasty, mineraly with a hint of fruit. Fizzy carbonation. Low bitterness. Not past BB date, but I feel it could have been fresher.

Can at home. Hazy golden with big white head. Massive weedy hops, flowery, oats, wheat, a bit dusty green leafy notes, perfumy. Medium sweet and bitter. Medium bodied. OK but not great.

Can at home. Unclear pale yellow color, average sized white head. Aroma and flavor are lightly malts, somewhat distantly fruity, decently hoppy, slightly bitter. Okay body and average carbonation. Okay beer.

Blik op vakantie geprobeerd met LiekevdV. Het is een troebel licht geel bier met een medium witte schuimkraag. Het heeft een fruitige geur. De smaak is moutig, zoet, fruitig en hoppig. Drinkt erg lekker weg!
