Opaque dark black - brown beer, small.tan. Smooth palate, mildly dry, decent fine carbonation. Smooth dark malts, a little dark chocolate, a touch of dark malt cream. Subtle barrel wood. Nice light red wine. Little spice. Smooth finish, mildly bitter dark chocolate. Smooth and well integrated. Never shouty, just charming and seductive.

Bottle picked up from Beer Revolution, Hay on Wye, Powys, Wales, online shop, consumed at home Sunday 27th May 2018 sat by the pond. Pours dark brown peeling away a little bit at the edges. Some gravy, red wine and beefines. Thick in the mouth, oil slicks down the glass, it's a good beer. A7 A4 T8 P4 Ov16 3.9
