Imperial Stout brewed with Molasses and with Pecan Extract added
A few times in the history of craft beer a highly praised beer rises beyond mortal stardom into a higher godly league. Usually the recipe to make such heavenly drops is thick fudge-like body, pitch black color, amazingly overwhelming aromas of chocolate, coffee, dark fruits, molasses, pecan extract and obviously only made in limited amounts. People – this is the taste of rare!

Can, 0.473l. 1 pint. Thick black pour, two finger frothy brown head, long lasting. Thick lacing on the glass as it goes down. Sweet on the nose, caramel and cocoa notes. Medium to full body, soft carbonation. Creamy texture, thick and chewy. Smooth mouthfeel. Sweet taste with some liquory bitter notes. Heavily malty aroma, caramel and toffee, roasted malt, nuts, cocoa, syrup, molasses. Notable alcohol presence. Herbal liquory aftertaste. Sticky. Long finish, subtle lingering alcohol burn on the tongue. Tasty.

Retronasal it's very fudgey with some roast, fruit, somewhat nutty albeit not particularly pecan. Flavour is moderate sweet and roasted, nutty. Almost full bodied. Long roasty and nutty moderate bitter finish.

Batch #001. I love this series, and whilst this is not one of its best parts, it's certainly delicious. Pecans shine through nicely, giving some relief from the bitter beer. Heavy licorice, some dark chocolate, sticky mouthfeel. A pleasure.

Fina y cierta densidad. Seca al final. Bastante buena. Para repetir sin duda.
