Imperial Stout brewed with Molasses and with Pecan Extract added
A few times in the history of craft beer a highly praised beer rises beyond mortal stardom into a higher godly league. Usually the recipe to make such heavenly drops is thick fudge-like body, pitch black color, amazingly overwhelming aromas of chocolate, coffee, dark fruits, molasses, pecan extract and obviously only made in limited amounts. People – this is the taste of rare!

16 ounce can. Ink black color topped by a bubbly brown head. Roasty malt nose hints at sweet coffee and burnt sugar. Intensely bittersweet roasted malt flavor. Notes of treacle, licorice burnt candied pecans and sweetened espresso. Big boozy notes in middle. Hugely bitter resiny hops in finish. A massive Imperial Stout that is not for non-professionals.

Bottle shared at THT. Black with light brown head. Thick molasses, roast, licorice, pecan, lactose, weird syrup, sweet sugary notes, lots of ash, tar. Over medium sweet and bitter. Full bodied. Not my thing, at all.

16 oz. can, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma brings out lots of molasses, brown sugar, artificial pecans, and sweet cocoa. Flavour is very artificial, with lots of fake pecan extract, molasses, and burnt roast. This is a really artificial tasting one. Not convincing - they ruined the base beer.

Can - Sticky sweet pecan. Deep brown with almost no head. Sweet maple and dark sugars with pecan notes and some bitterness. Crazy but solid.
